Login Items settings

Use the Login Items payload to specify the apps, files, folders, and network mounts that are open when the user logs in.

Note: Use the Login Items payload for OS X device, user, and user group configuration profiles. For more information, see About profiles and payloads and Payload best practices.

Apps and other items

Click Add add button to select apps or other items that open when the user logs in. To select an app or item, it must be installed on the server running Profile Manager. Click the Hide button to set an app so it opens without visible windows.

Authenticated network mounts

To select a mount, it must be mounted on the server running Profile Manager. Click the Hide button to set the mount so it opens without visible windows.

Select the checkbox if a network home share point is required.

Network mounts

Click Add add button to select unauthenticated network mounts that open when the user logs in. If required, users provide a separate user name and password when they log in to mount the share point. To select a mount, it must be mounted on the server running Profile Manager. Click the Hide button to set the mount so it opens without visible windows.

You can prevent users from bypassing login items, but you can’t restrict users from adding items or removing those you specify.
