Distribute profiles automatically

You can use Profile Manager as a mobile device management service. This lets you distribute configuration profiles to iOS devices and Mac computers automatically over the network. Setting up device management involves the following basic steps:

  1. Enable mobile device management. For information, see Enable mobile device management in Server Help.

  2. Create and manage users, and, optionally, groups. For information, see Create a user account or Create a group in Server Help.

  3. Enroll and add devices.

  4. Install configuration profiles.

Once the device is enrolled, you can automatically install new and updated configuration profiles.
