Manage Profile Manager tasks

You can cancel or check the status of tasks you have queued for users or devices you manage.

You can check on the status of individual tasks you sent by selecting the Activity tab for a user, user group, device, or device group. You can also view tasks collectively using Active Tasks or Completed Tasks in the Profile Manager sidebar. This is especially helpful when you send tasks to a device group—you’ll be able to determine if the devices have completed their tasks. You can also cancel any active tasks.

  1. In the Profile Manager sidebar, click Active Tasks to view all active tasks.

  2. Select a task, then click Cancel Task to cancel a specific task.

Note: The Update DEP profile task can’t be canceled. If the update fails because the device is unavailable, the task remains pending.
